MY HEART WAS BROKEN – Diana Hamilton On Black Stars Early Exit From AFCON

Ghanaian gospel musician, Diana Hamilton has shared her experiences of dealing with the Black Stars’ miserable showing at the African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

She chose to do something else as the Black Stars were playing their final AFCON match against Mozambique because, in her words, she lacks the courage to watch football.

She said that after learning that the team was leading by two goals to zero and was about to qualify, she made the decision to stop packing and go watch the game.

Diana Hamilton expressed her anguish and heartbreak following the Black Stars of Ghana’s two late goals conceded, which resulted in their elimination from the competition.

“I don’t have a heart for watching football so I only watch the Black Stars game. I was in the kitchen when I heard the team had scored. I would come and watch and leave.

“So, while I was packing my things, I heard they had scored twice so I went to sit down to watch the game. Shortly afterwards Mozambique equalized and my heart was broken,” she said while speaking on the United Showbiz programme hosted by MzGee and monitored by GhanaWeb.
