PAY ME BACK ALL THE MONEY I INVESTED IN YOUR ALBUM BEFORE YOU SUE PEOPLE – Ayisha Modi Calls Out Obrafuor After Drake Suit

Ghanaian music executive and entrepreneur, Ayisha Modi has reacted to Obrafuor’s lawsuit against Drake for copyright infringement.

According to a court document that has appeared online, the Ghanaian rapper is suing Drake for $10 million because Drake used his “Oye Ohene” Remix on his song “Calling My Name” without getting his consent.

Drake used a portion of Obrafour’s song called the “killer cut” soundbite, and Mantse has acknowledged that it is his voice.

 

American lawyer, Rob Freund, who broke the news said “today, @iamobrafour sued @Drake for copyright infringement for sampling “Oye Ohene (Remix)” in the track “Calling My Name.”

Reacting to the suit via her Instagram, Ayisha Modi has reminded Obrafuor to pay back money she invested in his album 13 years ago.

“Concert party @mobrafour make sure you pay me back all the money I Ayisha Modi invested in ur Album 13 years ago before you sue someone wai,” she wrote on Instagram.

Ayisha Modi made other claims, including the claim that she contributed to the making of Obrafuor’s hugely popular “Kasiebo” album but never received any money back.

“Nature will catch up with u walaii Ofoui. See who is suing someone. I cursed u . You will not have no peace until u come out and tell the world the truth about how I invested in ur KASIEBO ALBUM,” she further alleged.

”@agyekumkofi was Ur manager at that time and he was the main reason why I invested all that money in ur project. U will be suing people saaaa to feed until you pay me back my money or you tell the world the truth. Karma and nature will catch up with ya,” she added.
