Bridget Otoo, a journalist from Ghana, has urged supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) not to compare themselves to those in the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In her opinion, members of the NPP who are active on the ground are impossible to reform and will never admit or rectify their mistakes despite clear evidence.
The actions she mentioned mirror those of their leaders, who intentionally and knowingly spread falsehoods about the NDC’s presidential nominee, John Dramani Mahama.
“NAPO mounted a platform and spewed flat out lies or deliberately made misleading statements about John Mahama. Yet when JM mounts platforms, he quotes his opponents with no lies or embellishments. This is how the fool soldiers were groomed; it’s why NDC foot soldiers will always be better than NPP fool soldiers.
“An NDC foot soldier might post ‘fake news’ when you draw their attention; they will take it down, or in fact, you would have other NDC foot soldiers call him out on it. The NPP ‘fool soldiers’ will keep posting fake news even when they are called out; they keep it up, and no one from their party will call them out!! I don’t hesitate to block NDC ‘fool soldiers’ when I find them, because there are proper foot soldiers I can read from, so why waste energy on one ‘fool’?” parts of Bridget Otoo’s tweet on X read.
Bridget Otoo commended NDC foot soldiers for being open to feedback and willing to make necessary adjustments.
She also commended them for being responsible to one another.
She wrote, “@CheEsquire is one NDC guy who would call out his own party people when they share a flyer or a poster that is fake; it is called accountability. It starts with your people, so hold them dear when you have them in your party. It only makes the party credible. For the NPP, their flag bearer is a certified liar. What do you expect from those at the bottom? It is rotten from the top! NDC foot soldiers must not compare themselves to the worst in the NPP, no matter the temptation!!!!”
