NIGERIAN WOMAN DIES FROM KIDNEY FAILURE AFTER HUSBAND DONATES TREATMENT FUNDS TO CHURCH

A tragic story has emerged from Nigeria as a young woman named Joyce Ifunayachukwu reportedly died of kidney failure after funds meant for her medical treatment were allegedly redirected by her husband to a church.

According to a viral post by social media influencer Serah Ibrahim, Joyce’s medical bills were initially covered by generous donations from well-meaning individuals following an online plea for help. However, instead of utilizing the funds for her hospital treatment, Joyce’s husband reportedly withdrew the money and took her to a church.

At the church, the pastor allegedly declared that Joyce had been healed, while she was administered herbal remedies instead of proper medical care. Despite her worsening condition and her own admission that she was not recovering, her husband and the pastor maintained that she was on the path to recovery.

Serah Ibrahim expressed outrage on social media, revealing that phone conversations and voice notes from Joyce documented her anguish as her health deteriorated. She called for the Nigerian police to take immediate action, stating, “Enough is enough. Pastors need to be held accountable.”

Joyce’s death has sparked widespread condemnation and calls for greater accountability for those who exploit vulnerable individuals under the guise of faith. Many social media users have expressed anger and heartbreak over the situation, with some calling for stricter regulations to prevent such incidents in the future.

This tragedy highlights the urgent need for better awareness and adherence to proper medical treatment, as well as vigilance against exploitative practices disguised as spiritual intervention.
