Musician turned political activist Kwame Asare Obeng, also known as A Plus, has urged the General overseer of Perez Chapel International, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, to resolve a dispute between him and the Nogokpo traditional council.
Archbishop Agyinasare recently questioned the authority of the Nogokpo chiefs and locals during a sermon in his church. This happened after a 60-day deadline had passed since they had demanded his presence at the temple or threatened severe repercussions from the gods.
The deadline had passed, but Archbishop Agyinasare was still alive and uninjured.
The clergyman boasted that he receives his power from the all-powerful God and that no weapon created by a mortal person against him could ever succeed.
“Bishop Agyinasare is one of the clergymen I follow the most in this country, and I think he is beyond this confrontation. I think that looking at his accomplishment and the lives he has impacted, I think he has to let this go, he is beyond that”, A Plus explained.
In response to a comment that the pastor’s latest remark might be a witness rather than just a dig at the conventional council, A Plus insisted that it was unnecessary and that the pastor’s attendance and continued good health after the ultimatum were sufficient evidence
He said, “They said you would die in 60 days and on the 61st day you are doing a testimony, so what happens if the next day you die? Then what would you do about that? There is no need for that. Look, I spoke to my father for two hours and the next day, I was informed that he is dead. Should something happen tomorrow, you would give your opponents a lot to say.”
