NPP CAME TO POWER TO STEAL, KILL AND DESTROY, NO INTENTION TO FIGHT GALAMSEY – NDC Comm. Director, Sammy Gyamfi

Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has strongly condemned President Akufo-Addo’s recent statement about risking his presidency to address illegal mining, calling it deceitful.

Gyamfi emphasized that illegal mining is greatly endangering the ability to obtain clean water, potentially leading to severe consequences for Ghanaians if not properly dealt with.

He claimed that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was deceiving the media and the public with their promises, indicating that the true intentions of the NPP were damaging and dishonest.

“What the NPP came to do was to kill, to steal, and to destroy. They had no genuine commitment to the fight against illegal mining, and the flowery talk you heard from President Akufo-Addo about putting the presidency on the line was all a scam. There was no commitment to fight illegal mining in the first place; in fact, there was no fight.” he said.
