Ohemaa Woyeje, a well-known DJ and radio host, has finally opened up about her experience as a bride after a year without having children.
Ohemaa Woyeje claims she was disparaged since she wasn’t able to conceive within the first year of her marriage.
She said that she received insults. Some claimed she was wombless.
“I got pregnant after a year and a few months. The first year that I didn’t get pregnant. If I tell you what I went through from everywhere, every angle. Some said I don’t even have a womb. You know our country. Just one-year oo.”
Ohemaa claimed that because she wasn’t pregnant, others advised her against celebrating her wedding anniversary.
She told XYZ online, “So when I was going to celebrate my first marriage anniversary, people were like, what is she celebrating? Because I hadn’t given birth. Some people have been married for 10 years without a child, and there are there. Just one year.”
Ohemaa Woyeje discussed why she quit Multimedia. She was barred from the radio after returning from leave. She said being flung about harmed her health, so she left to protect her pregnancy.
