The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, paid a historic visit to the Ghana Police Service headquarters on Tuesday, reinforcing the partnership between traditional authority and state security institutions.
The visit, described as a landmark moment in police-traditional leadership relations, brought together the monarch, Inspector General of Police Christian Tetteh Yohuno, and senior police officials. The IGP briefed the Asantehene on ongoing initiatives to enhance public safety and crime prevention nationwide.
In his address, IGP Yohuno expressed deep appreciation for the Asantehene’s consistent support, noting his “fatherly and exemplary” role in hosting and guiding successive police leadership teams.
