Kobbie Mainoo, an England Midfielder, stated that despite considering playing for Ghana, his lifelong dream has always been to represent England, which is why he decided against switching national teams.
Kobby Mainoo, who is currently representing the England Senior team at the 2024 Euros, expressed his constant pride in his Ghanaian roots.
The midfielder from Manchester United acknowledged the rumours that the Ghana Football Association was trying to persuade him, but he had already made his decision.
“Obviously proud of my Ghanaian heritage and there were speculations and what not but it has always been a dream to play for England so I’m happy to be here…Considered but I want to play for England,” he said while addressing the press.
