Ghanaian media personality and politician, Roman Father, announced that he plans to run for president in the 2028 election.
This came during the funeral of Akua Donkor, with whom he once ran as vice-presidential candidate.
During an interview, Roman Father spoke highly of Akua Donkor, saying she was a brave and important woman in a political world that is mostly run by men.
He gave her a lot of credit for helping to build the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP).
He also shared his sadness about how her death impacted the party in the latest general election.
Despite these challenges, Roman Father stated clearly that he and the Ghana Freedom Party will be involved in the 2028 elections. They consider this a way to honor Akua Donkor’s memory and continue her work.
“Contesting in the next general election is the best way I can ensure the legacy of the late Akua Donkor lives forever,” he stated.
