Sister Deborah, a musician and socialite born Deborah Owusu-Bonsu, has claimed that she punched a man when he touched her buttocks during a performance at an event.
She was responding to Cina Soul’s interview, in which she described how some male fans harass female performers sexually.
Sister Deborah claimed that after finishing her performance, two young girls approached her for a selfie. She agreed to take the picture, only for a man to squeeze her buttocks from behind.
Sister Deborah claimed that after turning around and slapping him in the face, the crowd’s security removed him.
Her tweet was intended to encourage women, particularly celebrities who experience this type of harassment, to stand up for themselves.
“I slapped a man backstage at quamina’s show. I got off stage after performing and two ladies asked for a selfie. As we were taking it, a man pressed my butt. I immediately turned and slapped him. Then the bouncers came and took him away.”
