Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, a prominent Ghanaian veteran musician has said carelessness by drivers should be blamed for road accidents.
According to the ‘Kwadonto’ hitmaker, he doesn’t understand why Ghanaians blame witches and spirituality whenever careless driving leads to accidents.
He said the quest by commercial drivers to make more money during this festive season and the desire by individuals to get to their destination early makes them overspend.
“By rushing with too much speed it can be dangerous but we often blame witches and lesser gods or spirits for certain mishaps that we caused,” he said during an interview with Amansan on Property FM.
“Obey traffic rules and why is it that when the speed limit is telling you to go 50 you’d move like 80 or 100 so we will plead with the drivers that if you drink alcohol don’t drive” he added that monitored by MyNewsGh.com
