THE ABSENCE OF THE NPP HAS ALREADY BEEN FELT BY THE PEOPLE OF GHANA — NAPO

In a Facebook post following a meeting with the NPP Regional Chairman for Bono East and constituency executives in Wenchi on Thursday (24 April), Dr. Opoku Prempeh emphasized the increasing discontent among the populace and cautioned that only a cohesive party could lead the way back to governance.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, who is the running mate to the 2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, asserts that Ghanaians are already experiencing the impact of the NPP’s lack of power.

In a Facebook update after meeting with the NPP Regional Chairman for Bono East and local executives in Wenchi on Thursday (24 April), Dr. Opoku Prempeh emphasized the rising dissatisfaction among the public and cautioned that only a cohesive party could pave the way back to governance.

“… the absence of the NPP has already been felt by the people of Ghana,” he wrote, stressing that internal division remains the biggest threat to the NPP’s hopes for victory in 2028.

He warned that a divided party, no matter how strong its candidate, had minimal prospects of winning upcoming elections.

He reiterated his dedication to striving for a united front as the NPP gets ready for a return in the upcoming general elections.

Dr Opoku Prempeh urged party leaders to defend unity at all costs, adding: “United, we stand tall; divided, we fall.”
