Bishop Sam Owusu, the head pastor at Pottersville Church, is very upset about the National Cathedral project not progressing. He believes this is a major issue for Christians in Ghana and sees it as a spiritual setback.
Speaking on Joy Prime monitored by MyNewsGh, Bishop Owusu stated, “It is a shame to Christians. We started something for God, but look at where we are today. Buildings were demolished, families were affected, and yet we have left it incomplete. It’s a disgrace.”
He talked about the spiritual problems caused by the project’s failure, warning that without its completion, Christians are without divine protection.
“The family has no head now; the children are scattered. Look at Christianity today—we are in disarray. If we don’t come together, we will continue to mess up.”
The bishop urged Christian leaders to come together, noting the divisions among different groups.
“We preach unity, love, and peace, yet we cannot come together.
“Why is the Christian Council separate from the Pentecostal and Charismatic Councils? We need one leader who can bring us all together.”
Despite past leadership issues, Bishop Owusu called on Christians to restart and push forward with the project.
“Our fathers need to come back and do this for the sake of the nation. If individuals can build mega churches, why can’t we come together and build this one?”
