Dr. Stephen Amoah, MP for Nhyiaeso, has urged Ghanaians to remain patient during the present economic hardships.
He stated the COVID-19 epidemic is causing economic problems in most nations.
Dr. Amoah stated the present economic situation is much better than what the NPP administration inherited from their predecessors.
“God exists, facts exist. There is difficulty, but it is worldwide. He inquired, “What causes coups d’états and have they truly thought about what they are doing?”
“Despite the hardships caused by the COVID and other issues, everything is better now than when we took over,” he told Accra-based Metro TV.
He mentioned the example of university teachers who have been on strike since early this year, seeking improved working conditions, but the administration was worried about their timing.
“Is it the fault of AkufoAddo?” he said, referring to the recent surge in crude oil prices to above $100 per barrel, the most in 7 years.
On the deteriorating economic situation and its relevance to a coup, the Nhyiaeso MP said Prof. Raymond Atuguba gave a public speech.
