“TO HELL WITH THEM” – Prof. Frimpong-Boateng Slams NPP Executives Over Expulsion Move

Former Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, has strongly criticised the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) following the party’s decision to initiate processes to expel him.

Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM on Tuesday, January 13, Prof. Frimpong-Boateng accused party executives of hypocrisy, arguing that the same leadership now seeking to sanction him was responsible for the NPP’s heavy defeat in the 2024 general elections.

Look at how we lost the 2024 election: abuse of power, corruption, arrogance. The party could not stand up to anybody; everybody was doing what they wanted. Now you are saying you want to remove someone from the party? To hell with them,” he said.

According to the former minister, internal manipulation and poor leadership have weakened the party and eroded its credibility with the electorate. He alleged that party executives engaged in bribery and intimidation during internal elections, forcing delegates to support favoured candidates.

He argued that instead of undertaking a transparent internal review to address the causes of the party’s electoral defeat, the leadership was attempting to suppress dissent and conceal wrongdoing.

“Instead of the executives writing a report for everyone to read and contribute, they are covering up things and allowing us to go into another election with the same format. It is very bad. The executives should leave, and the party will stand,” he added.
