VICE PRESIDENT JANE NAANA OPOKU-AGYEMANG TO RETURN TO GHANA NEXT WEEK AFTER MEDICAL BREAK
Vice President recovering well in the UK, expected to resume duties soon.
President John Dramani Mahama has announced that Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is expected to return to Ghana by the end of next week. The Vice President is currently receiving medical care in the United Kingdom following a brief illness.
During a durbar held at the Old Ghanata Astroturf in Dodowa on May 16, as part of his ‘Thank You Tour,’ President Mahama provided an update on her health.
“I bring you greetings from H.E. the Vice President, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang. I’m happy to state that I spoke to her on Thursday, May 15, and she will be back in the country before the end of the week. By God’s grace, she’s fully recovered, and she’s going to come back to her duties,” he said.
The news has been warmly welcomed by citizens anticipating the Vice President’s return and resumption of official responsibilities.
