“WE ARE GOING TO BAN THE IMPORTATION OF STYROFOAM PLASTICS SOON TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT”— Prez. John Mahama
President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has announced the government’s plan to ban the importation of styrofoam plastics in Ghana.
John Mahama made this announcement whilst delivering a speech at a ceremony to mark World Environment Day, where he led a tree planting exercise.
This decision by him will help protect the environment and prevent environmental pollution.
According to the president, Ghanaians will no longer buy food in rubbers and styrofoam plastics but in aluminium foils and paper bags.
