Arts writer and showbiz critic, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo has castigated Hiplife artist, Michael Owusu Addo popularly referred to as Sarkodie over his attack on the media personalities over their work.
Sarkodie made headlines a few days ago after he stated in an interview that media persons who want to criticize artists should make sure they’ve made progress in life before criticizing them.
“It is easy for somebody to sit on the radio and say Shatta Wale hasn’t done this, and Sarkodie hasn’t done that. I’ve not said we the artists don’t have work to do. But If you’ve been on the radio in Ghana for close to 20 years and have not moved on to Choice or BBC, I don’t think you have the moral right to talk about artists in Ghana who have not gone International”, he said.
Sharing his thoughts on Sarkodie’s statement on Peace FM’s Entertainment review, Arnold has said that Sarkodie could have made his point in an intelligent manner and not in a hollow manner.
“I believe if given another opportunity to have a go at the question he was asked, maybe there would be a certain revision in his answers,” said Arnold who didn’t seem happy about the response.”
I don’t know who has frustrated Sarkodie to the point. scrutinize him to the point where he will be frustrated in answering a question he could have figured out a more intelligent way of delivering. I felt his answer was quite unfortunate”, the entertainment pundit said.
