Alhaji Ayaana, a 65-year-old entrepreneur and philanthropist hailing from Tamale, is on an exceptional journey, trekking 250 kilometres from Kumasi to Accra to attend the inauguration of President-elect John Dramani Mahama on January 7, 2025.

Alhaji Ayaana started his journey after driving from Tamale to Kumasi and then walked the rest of the way. Alhaji Ayaana’s meaningful strolls possess a deep heritage.
In 1997, he undertook a comparable journey to honour the second-term inauguration of former President Jerry John Rawlings. In 1999, he coordinated a 16-kilometre walk for peace and health in Tamale on Independence Day, encouraging unity and wellness.
His most recent trip was revealed on December 21, 2024, following a 19-kilometre health walk from Yakubu Tali International Airport to Jubilee Park in Tamale.
