Rev. Dr. Joyce Rosalind Aryee, a member of the National Cathedral’s Board of Trustees, has refuted claims that the government is being callous with regard to the cathedral’s construction.
In spite of the economic crisis, the government and other Cathedral leadership have maintained their commitment to erecting the National Cathedral, as the lady of God has explained.
As Christians, they are not insensitive as has been said, according to Joyce Aryee, who was speaking on Ghana Tonight on TV3.
She claims that leading such a project is an honor, and she will do whatever it takes to see that it is completed.
“I’d like to reassure everybody that as believers we are not insensitive. We’re not insensitive and I say it is even a delight for a lot of us to be called upon by God to make a contribution to something that is going to give Him delight,”.
She cited 2 Corinthians 7:15 and Hagar 1:18 in her remarks, saying that she and many others were grateful to be helping to fund the construction of the National Cathedral.
“I like how God put it, He says in the book of 2 Corinthian 7:15 that during the dedication, we will put his name where the temple is. And then when you read the book of Hagar 1: 8 It says that when we build he will be pleased with it and rejoice so it is a joy for us to contribute,” Ms Aryee said.
