DADA KD WAS GOING THROUGH A LOT EMOTIONALLY, PSYCHOLOGICALLY AND FINANCIALLY – Nana Romeo Reveals

With tributes pouring in on social media after the death of Highlife icon Dada KD, fresh information has come to light regarding the seasoned musician’s last days, uncovering a poignant tale of hidden emotional struggles beneath a resilient public persona.

In a phone interview with Zion Felix, well-known media figure Nana Romeo revealed that while the “Somu Gye” artist looked physically fit and was energetically getting ready for a forthcoming show in London, he was quietly facing profound emotional difficulties.

“He looked fit. He never complained of any sickness. In fact, he was recently on my radio show and looked completely fine,” Nana Romeo revealed. “But when you spoke to him one-on-one, you would realize that financially, psychologically, emotionally, he wasn’t a happy person. He was going through a lot in life.”

Nana Romeo also shared how he learned of the devastating news. He stated that he began noticing social media posts featuring captions such as “Rest in Peace” and inquiries about whether Dada KD had passed away.

Astonished and bewildered, he promptly contacted the artist’s manager to seek validation.

“The manager sounded broken. There were tears in the manager’s voice. She confirmed the news and told me that when he got to Dada KD’s house, the legend wasn’t talking, wasn’t active. They rushed him to the Gbawe Hospital, but sadly, he passed away this evening,” he said with sadness.

The radio host also disclosed that Dada KD was currently getting ready for a significant show in the UK planned for next week.

“We were seriously working on it. Everything was being arranged,” Nana Romeo noted.

At present, the true reason for death is still unclear. The management and family are anticipating a complete medical report from the physicians.

Nana Romeo expressed his heartfelt sympathies to the family, fans, and the whole nation, highlighting the significant loss this represents for Ghana’s music scene.

Dada KD, whose full name is Dada Kwaku Duah, is celebrated for enduring Highlife hits like “Fatia Fata Nkrumah,” “Somu Gye,” “Honest Love,” “Odo Mu Anigyie,” and more.

His music connected with emotions and conveyed narratives that struck a chord with numerous people over the years.
