Ghanaian actress, Adwoa Smart, born Belinda Naa Ode Oku, spoke about her relationship life during a recent interview with Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo midmorning show.
She revealed that she is not currently in a relationship, saying, “Dating is not part of my plans at all for this moment.”
Adwoa stated that relationships currently aren’t her main focus, as she feels one should prioritize addressing significant life matters before entering into romantic partnerships.
“You only engage in some of these things when you have sorted out some critical things in your life,” she shared.
While she made it clear that she is not a virgin, Adwoa stressed that she is also not promiscuous.
“My mind is on more important things,” she said, adding that she prefers to avoid the pressure and stress that relationships can sometimes bring.
She also expressed her frustration with the complexities of modern relationships, saying, “You’d get into a relationship only to find out your partner is married or with someone else. Due to this, I don’t like these things.”
When inquired about her admirers, Adwoa replied with a grin, mentioning that she often receives proposals, “thanks to God’s grace.”
She recognized that numerous men who contact her are “wonderful individuals,” but she chooses to be careful and has declined their advances for the time being.
“In God’s own time, I will give someone a chance,” she said optimistically.
Even though she has never tied the knot, Adwoa noted that she has experienced motherhood, reminiscing about her earlier times.
