EMPRESS GIFTY INSTALLED CHIEF BY IGBO COMMUNITY

The Igbo people of Ghana have honored gospel singer Gifty Adorye, better known by her stage name, Empress Gifty, by installing her in the position of Chief.

A number of performers showed up to the Efia Sutherland Children Park in Accra to celebrate with their sister and colleague in the entertainment business.

Gospel artist Chief Ugo Nma was given the title of Chief by the King of the Igbo Community in Ghana, who is a Nigerian.

The name is a symbol of self-determination, strength, endurance, reliability, determination, and competence.

Not only was this a celebration of the New Yam Festival, but also of the tenth anniversary of the Igbo reign in Ghana.
