Business mogul expands aviation portfolio with long-range luxury aircraft branded ‘Dzata’

Ghanaian businessman Ibrahim Mahama has reportedly expanded his aviation assets with the acquisition of a brand-new Bombardier Global 6500 private jet, valued at approximately $70 million.

According to reports, the aircraft was purchased in 2024, with delivery completed in February 2026. A viral video shared online on March 3, 2026, shows the jet in a sleek grey and white livery, prominently branded with Mahama’s signature name “Dzata” meaning “Lion”, a symbol often associated with his personal brand.

The footage captures the business mogul boarding the aircraft as it prepared for departure, drawing significant attention on social media.

The Bombardier Global 6500 is widely regarded as one of the leading ultra-long-range business jets in the world. It boasts a non-stop range of up to 6,600 nautical miles, making it suitable for intercontinental travel between major global cities.

The aircraft is capable of reaching a top speed of Mach 0.90 and is equipped with Bombardier’s advanced Vision flight deck and enhanced avionics systems designed to improve safety, navigation and operational efficiency.
