IT WILL BE NICE TO HAVE A STATUE ERECTED IN MY HONOUR – Veteran Actress, Maame Dokono

Grace Omaboe – Maame Dokono

Veteran Ghanaian actress and media personality, Grace Omaboe popularly known as Maame Dokono has expressed approval for the proposal to erect a statue in her honor at Maame Dokono Park in Accra, Ghana.

Maame Dokono replied to the question of whether she feels the country has honored her sufficiently by stating that she has received honors, but she believes it would be more honourable to have a statue or bust of her placed at Maame Dokono Park in Accra.

She stressed that the monument would help preserve her legacy and inspire younger generations to follow her example, but she doesn’t want to pressure anyone into building her statue.

“Yes! I think there should be my statue there for my legacy to be in the minds of the little ones who are coming because I am even in their books.”

“If something like that could be erected in my honor, it will be a nice thing. I am not forcing anybody to do it but if it is done, fine!” She told Blakk Rasta in an interview on the Urban Blend show on 3FM.
