KORLE BU SECURITY APPREHENDS UNDERGROUND CABLE THIEVES
On Saturday, March 1, Mr. Isaiah Moiloom, a security officer at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, apprehended four people who had trespassed on the hospital grounds to steal significant amounts of underground cables from its duct system.
The suspects first pretended to be employees contracted by the hospital to fix broken cables.
However, during questioning, it became evident that their only purpose was to steal the cables for resale.
Additional inquiries verified that they had not received approval from the hospital nor been contracted by any applicable authority.
They were later transferred to the Korle Bu Police Station.
The suspects are still in police detention, awaiting additional investigation and judicial actions.
