FIRST LADY LORDINA MAHAMA ENSTOOLED AS NANA OSEADEEYO ODENWAA II BY AKROSO ASUKAWKAW TRADITIONAL AREA

First Lady, Mrs. Lordina Mahama, has been enstooled as Nana Oseadeeyo Odenwa II by the Paramount Chief of the Akroso Asukawkaw Traditional Area, Nana Odam Gyamfi III, in recognition of her philanthropic contributions to healthcare delivery in the community.

The honour was conferred during the commissioning of a fully equipped ultramodern maternity and children’s ward constructed by the Lordina Foundation to serve Asukawkaw and surrounding communities in the Krachi East Municipality of the Oti Region.

In an emotional address, Nana Odam Gyamfi III expressed profound gratitude to the First Lady for what he described as her swift response to the community’s appeal for improved maternal healthcare services.

“Words are not enough to express my deepest appreciation,” he stated, explaining that expectant mothers previously endured long and often distressing journeys to access life-saving medical care during childbirth.

He noted that the new facility brings relief, dignity, and renewed hope to the people, adding that the community now feels remembered and cared for.

“You are indeed the Mother Teresa of our time,” the Paramount Chief declared, commending the First Lady for her compassion and commitment to vulnerable communities.

While celebrating the milestone, Nana Odam Gyamfi III highlighted persistent challenges facing the area’s health infrastructure.

He revealed that the existing clinic operates a single four-bed ward accommodating men, women, children, and pregnant women together, a situation he described as inadequate and unhealthy.
