President Akufo-Addo got extremely uncomfortable during an interview with BBC journalist Peter Okwóchè , whilst speaking on the state of the Ghanaian economy during a meeting at the Presidential Villa.
It was shown on BBC’s Focus on Africa, BBC News (World) and BBC World Service, among other channels.
We were particularly interested in the section of the report that dealt with the controversial Electronic Transaction Levy (E-levy) Bill, which was one of the numerous topics covered.
With the BBC host’s tone reflecting Akufo Addo’s desire to defend his government’s decision to introduce the E-levy, Ghana’s Zacchaeus failed to impress him in his attempt to explain the logic for the E-levy.
