30 ISLAMIC SHS STUDENTS COLLAPSE AFTER POLICE FIRED TEAR GAS

Students from the Islamic Senior High School in Abrepo, Ashanti Region, staged a protest that turned fatal after police allegedly sprayed tear gas at them.

According to reports, at least 30 kids were brought to the hospital after collapsing.

The youngsters were protesting repeated car accidents in front of their institution by blocking the road on the front of it.

They claimed they had made multiple requests to the appropriate authorities to install speed ramps, but to no avail.

The cops came to assist during their demonstration. To clear the roadblock and disperse the protesting crowd, authorities used tear gas, which knocked some of the students out and left everyone else in excruciating pain.

When some parents learned of the circumstances, they invaded the school to ensure their children’s safety.

“I heard there is a scuffle in the school and the police attacked the students, shooting and beating them. I heard the police chased them even into their dormitories and were beating the girls. I feel very bad seeing school children on the floor unconscious. Everybody is messed up here,” a parent said, as quoted by citinewsroom.com.
