The super duo made up of twin brothers Peter and Paul Okoye seem to be going through some sort of fallout as one half of the duo-Peter Okoye wants their elder brother Jude Okoye who has being their manager for so many years now out of the team.
Yesterday night (February 16) Peter Okoye took to Twitter and stated that he wants his older brother Jude Okoye fired from managing P-Square.
In a series of tweets from the 34-year-old he ranted against his older brother and manager Jude Okoye while remaining loyal to his brother and singing partner Paul Okoye.
The relationship between the brothers Peter Okoye and Jude Okoye has broken down to the extent that the singer tweeted a disclaimer stating that whoever does business with North Side Entertainment on behalf of P-square is at his or her own risk.
“Pls who so ever makes any transaction with Northside Entertainment or Jude Okoye on Psquare’s behalf does so at their on risk. #warning.”
If you are still doubting that Peter Okoye is fed up of Jude Okoye the pop star also tweeted this about the family run business “Family business can be pain in the a$$.”
Peter revealed in one of his tweets that he has kept quiet over this problem for four years now.
“Been nurturing and managing this problems for over 4yrs now. Don’t take my silence as a weakness. #done.
Psquare is not breaking up. I stand here to defend Psquare 100% And for those that will start saying Psquare is breaking up. We are not. Just that the management needs to go.
I stand here 100% for my brother Paul and Psquare but not with our so called management. #period I have regretted a lot of things in my life… But trust me this is not one of them. #NoMoreFamilyBusiness”, Peter tweeted.
Jude Okoye and Paul Okoye have not reacted or responded to Peter Okoye’s rant last night.
Jude Okoye has been the manager of P-square since the group came into existence. On his Instagram page Jude Okoye’s bio reads “President/C.E.O Northside Inc. Managers of P-square & Cynthia Morgan.”
According to pulse.ng, this is the second time in two years that the P-square brand has been involved in a public rift of sorts. In April, 2014 there were strong rumours that Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye had split.
It was reported that Peter Okoye refused to do anything with P-square because he reportedly felt his input and contributions were not being seriously considered. Some reports went as far as saying that a lawyer had been summoned to split the Psquare fortune into two so that Peter Okoye could walk away.
Cooler heads prevailed and the twins were persuaded be one again. They released their sixth studio album ‘Double Trouble’ after the split fiasco.
