Chantell Dapaah, the wife of popular Ghanaian fashion entrepreneur and designer, Abrantie the Gentleman, has reacted to the shade Elikem Kumordzie threw at Abrantie the Gentleman on social media.
Elikem Kumordzi subtly accused Abrantie the Gentleman of copying his style on the runway following the just-ended Rhythmz on the Runway show in Accra.
The 2022 Rhythms on Da Runway was held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre on Sunday, November 20, 2022.
Towards the conclusion of the show over the weekend, Abrantie The Gentleman ended his session on the just-ended Runway at Rhythms On The Runway with his child.
You would recall that Elikem brought his child on the Runway at Glitz Fashion Week 2022, hence he his claiming some sort of bragging rights.
Elikem took his verified Instagram page claiming he is the one who first introduced the playing of traditional drums and showcasing culture at their shows.
He also underscored that inspired others to bring their children on stage. He bragged that he is living in the future and urged all to continue to be the first and not the best and push our creative abilities through the roof.
Despite the fact that her husband’s name was not mentioned in the post, Chantell Dapaah swiftly jumped on the comment section to put up a defense for Abrantie the Gentleman.
In her rebuttal, she rubbished Elikem’s assertion as she pointed out that children have coming on stage since so many years ago and according to her, their first was at African Fashion week in London when they were only five months old.
Since its inception in 2010, Rhythms on Da Runway has served as a platform to showcase the best of contemporary African fashion and other art forms.
Themed the Green Edition, this year’s event (the 10th edition) was aimed at creating awareness of the environment and sustainable fashion.
