‘IF THEY SEND GHANAIANS TO SINGAPORE, SINGAPORE WILL BECOME UNDER-DEVELOPED’ – Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin

Ghana’s Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has stated that the reason Ghana hasn’t evolved is because the human resources managing the nation’s development process are of poor quality.

He asserts that if Ghana’s human resources remain in their current condition, no constitutional reform in the world will be able to transform the nation.

Bagbin stated that Singapore will become undeveloped if the current generation of Ghanaians are moved there when he made his statements at the beginning of the 30th Anniversary Celebration of Parliament on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.

“We must focus on strengthening our democratic institutions, and we must focus on getting the right human resources to lead the country. You can keep on changing your constitutions; you can take whatever concept of governance you want, but if you don’t get the human resource correct, you can never develop your society.

“I believe in this state, if they send us to Singapore, Singapore will become undeveloped,” the Speaker of Parliament said.
