George Lutterodt, a counsellor, has expressed severe disapproval of the road trip from Accra to London, claiming that it damages Ghana’s reputation.
The recent venture, which involved thirteen Ghanaians taking on the lengthy journey, has sparked discussions about its feasibility and consequences.
On August 6, 2023, it was reported that these individuals had arrived in London, evoking a combination of applause and scepticism. However, Lutterodt’s perspective on the matter is decidedly negative.
He believes that the road journey has cast a poor light on Ghana due to the potential hazards and lack of safety precautions. He has serious concerns about the likelihood of encountering dangerous situations or attacks while en route.
Lutterodt stressed the importance of adhering to appropriate protocols and procedures when embarking on such endeavours. During an interview on Okay 101.7 FM, he strongly criticized the road journey, calling it an unwise decision that should not be repeated.
He emphasized the necessity of using proper methods and condemned any attempts to achieve favourable outcomes through improper means.
He also used the chance to urge the government and diplomatic officials to take responsibility and prevent similar incidents from happening again in the future.
