Gyakie, a Ghanaian songbird, has stirred up controversy after making a disparaging remark about her sister Sheila, an up-and-coming musician.
In an interview, Gyakie disclosed that his father only acknowledges her as a musician.
That came after someone inquired when she planned to work with her sister, a musician who is having trouble breaking through to the mainstream.
Renowned musician Nana Acheampong allegedly treats his other daughter Sheila unfairly because of various family problems.
On social media, a video verifying that Sheila and her father actually have an issue has also surfaced. In an interview, Sheila revealed that her father did not bear responsibility for her.
She claims that her mother is her favourite because she has been the only one who has struggled to care for her.
But she also said that if their father wants to be involved in her life, they will always welcome him. She mentioned that she doesn’t have any communication or interaction with her dad at all.
