I DON’T BREAK THE BANK FOR MY RED CARPET LOOKS – Nana Akua Addo

Ghanaian fashion icon, Nana Akua Addo has indicated that she plans her looks for various red carpets several months ahead of time and she does not break the bank for that purpose.

According to her, before the year starts, she decides on which Red Carpets she will be making appearances on to budget for her looks among other things.

The actress indicated that she is a family woman so all her looks are on a budget which is discussed by her family.

She was speaking to BBC Pidgin in an interview when she made this known.

“It takes me like one year to plan what I do. I wouldn’t sit here and take all the credit for what I do. I have a creative team that advises and directs me. They send me looks and we argue about it, brainstorm and after that one look is selected then I will think about how to resource the material.

However, when I am on any Nigerian platform, I come as if I am at the Met Gala. However, when I do that I don’t try to break the bank. I select how many red carpets I want to be on for a year. For what I do I think it is production because there are so many things involved because of how artistic and different I really want to look. In doing this I don’t try to break the bank, I am not trying to rob any other person. I am a family person so everything is on budget, and everything is being spoken about. I don’t really worry myself that much. I would rather give myself time and think how to put things together. I don’t really pressure myself that is why I take my time,” she said.

On the cost of her AMVCA looks she said “I spent $6000 on this one which was liked by many. However, there are others in the past which did not make the impact I wanted but they are all in the past”.
