Akwaboah, a musician from Ghana, has spoken out about rumours surrounding his recent marriage to his wife, Theresa.
While married, there were rumours that Akwaboah fathered children with two different women and abandoned them to marry a virgin.
These theories sparked extensive discussions on social networking sites.
In his upcoming interview with Delay on TV3, the musician will be discussing the issue for the first time, revealing that external factors, not his own volition, influenced his decision.
“In life we give ourselves some timelines or we expect certain things to happen but they don’t go as planned. But we still move on. Growing up as a man, I wasn’t happy about having children with two separate women and leaving them to marry another. But situations happened and it’s something I cannot explain now,” he told Delay
Akwaboah acknowledged that better circumstances in his past relationships could have led to a different outcome.
“Perhaps, if those relationships had been more peaceful, I would have remained in them,” he said.
Asked why he broke the virginity of two women and decided to settle for a virgin, Akwaboah responded, “They were not virgin when I met them. For my wife, I didn’t go for her because she was a virgin, I didn’t even know until I told her I wanted to be with her.”
