KWADWO SHELDON WAS NOT INVITED FOR BUKOM ARENA TOWN HALL MEETING – NDC’s National Youth Organizer

National Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Opare Addo denied allegations made by YouTuber Kwadwo Sheldon that he was invited by the party to the town hall meeting at the Bukom boxing arena with set questions to ask the NDC’s flagbearer.

Sheldon also stated that he refused the request and invitation and maintained that he would only go to the town hall meeting if he could pose his own questions.

You know what be funny about this? They invited me for the Bukom thing on condition that they will give me the question to ask JDM..said it’s either my personal questions or nah.. be like they weren’t interested in that so I played FIFA,” he tweeted on August 13.

His statement following the NDC’s event at the Bukom boxing arena on Monday, August 12 has sparked debate, with several people doubting the truth of Sheldon’s assertion.

Despite this, the party’s National Youth Organiser has countered Kwadwo Sheldon’s claim. In a video posted on X, George Opare Addo clarified that Kwadwo Sheldon did not receive an invitation to the town hall meeting.

He emphasized that the YouTuber and his team were specifically invited to cover the NDC’s Youth manifesto launch at the UPSA auditorium, not the town hall meeting at Bukom boxing arena.

He rejected Sheldon’s assertion that the party had provided a list of questions to the influencers at the town hall meeting.

“We sent invitation to all bloggers and social media influencers to come and cover…we wanted all of them to come and use their space to cover. Kwadwo Sheldon’s invitation was to come and cover the UPSA programme and I challenge him to put out any invitation he has which suggest he should come and cover the town hall meeting.

“His people came and cover the Youth manifesto launch so I don’t know where this noise is coming from. He did not have any invitation for the afternoon programme [the townhall meeting]…nobody told him to come and ask questions,” George Opare Addo stated.
