VETERAN ACTOR ALBERT JACKSON-DAVIS PASSES AWAY

Ghanaian veteran actor and creative, Albert Odartei Jackson-Davis, has passed away following a prolonged battle with an undisclosed illness. The news of his death initially shared on Saturday, September 14, was confirmed on Monday, September 16, by Akunu Dake, the Chief Executive Officer of Heritage Development, in a heartfelt Facebook post.

In his tribute, Akunu Dake reflected on his close relationship with the late actor, describing Jackson-Davis as a “good friend and colleague,” and recalling their professional collaboration during the 1990s when Jackson-Davis served as the Deputy Executive Director of PANAFEST.

Since the announcement, tributes have poured in from the public and fellow industry figures, all expressing their sorrow over the loss of the veteran actor.

Jackson-Davis was celebrated for his compelling performances, particularly in roles that depicted high-ranking or elite members of society. His distinct acting style, marked by simplicity, class, and a measured delivery, made him a beloved figure in Ghana’s film industry.
