Ghanaian musician, Jaybhad stated that he would never participate in a violent demonstration that results in the destruction of lives and properties.
He believes that the youth protests in Ghana have not led to any change over the years.
Jaybhad believes what’s significant at the moment is peaceful protests else he won’t participate in them.
“There are people on Twitter who fool because of engagement. When I say move from your comfort zone, I mean we can move out and peacefully demonstrate and not destroy property that will lead to the death of people.
If we will demonstrate and destroy property, I will not join such protests. We are in a country where we are asking for more then we will use demonstrations to destroy the little we have here. Efia Odo asked me if I’ve joined any demonstrations, no I won’t join. The last time you led a demonstration, people died.
There are better ways of demonstrating, not what you people are doing that I’m leading the youth and I love my country, Ghana. You need to convince your people on how they should vote and let them know that there is hardship so they should not vote along tribal lines but rather seek the best for the country. You people have not done this but sit on Twitter and talk too much just because of engagements,” he said.
