The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama has urged Ghanaians to vote for him who has experience as a former President over Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who is the torch bearer of the New Patriotic Party(NPP).
While on his campaign tour in the North East region, he remembered how President Akufo-Addo urged Ghanaians to give him a chance in 2016 when he was running for President.
John Mahama believes that his past experience and track record in office, as well as the recognition of his administration by Ghanaians, should make him the preferred choice over Dr. Bawumia.
“I have the experience and I have done it before. Ghana has seen my ruling and saw what we did as a party. In this time of crisis, we need someone with experience to come and put Ghana back on its feet. We did ‘trial and error’ when Akufo-Addo said ‘try me’ and we tried him now look at where it has landed us.”
“This time we don’t want to try me, we want someone who has done it before and has experience. If a driver and his mate drive you into the ditch and you remove the car, will you hand over the car back to them again? You will give it to a more experienced driver who has driven the car before”, John Mahama added.
