I WAS CONTACTED TO HOST UNITED SHOWBIZ BEFORE MZGEE – Empress Gifty Reveals

Ghanaian gospel artist and TV personality, Empress Gifty recently revealed that she was the first choice to host United Showbiz, the well-known entertainment program on UTV, prior to MzGee stepping in.

During an interview, Empress Gifty revealed that she was contacted for the position after Nana Ama McBrown withdrew as host.

While appreciating the offer, Empress Gifty regrettably had to turn it down because of her frequent trips and busy agenda, especially with obligations in the United States.

 “They offered me the role, but with my constant travels, I couldn’t take it on. Management was very understanding and even suggested they’d look for another program that would better fit my busy schedule,” she explained.

While she didn’t become the host of United Showbiz then, Empress Gifty now hosts the U-Cook show on UTV.
