Ghanaian journalist and political analyst, Afia Pokua popularly known as Vim Lady strongly believes that the Ghana Police Service needs to put a stop to the toy gun activities before they escalate.
She believes that certain individuals might exploit the situation to create actual damage, therefore law enforcement must intervene to prevent it.
Afia Pokua revealed this information while speaking in a social media post.
“Ghana Police must stop this senseless Toy Gun games before someone takes advantage of it to do real harm. Mehuuye-anka,” she said.
In the Ashanti Region and elsewhere in Ghana, several young individuals have sparked a revival of the childhood games they once participated in.
These games involve using toy guns for shooting when they were kids.
This trend is emerging prior to the Christmas events in the country in 2024. Multiple videos show that these youth are recalling their childhood memories and using toy guns for that reason.
