GHANAIAN MAN DECLARES VOTES FOR SALE AHEAD OF GENERAL ELECTIONS

In a shocking twist ahead of Ghana’s upcoming general elections, a man has publicly declared his willingness to sell his vote, setting specific price tags for candidates seeking his endorsement.

In a viral video sighted by NKONKONSA.com, the man creatively chanted his price list in rhythmic tones, revealing his disillusionment with politicians who, according to him, fail to fulfill their promises once in power.

The man’s “rate card” for his vote includes:

  • Assemblyman: GH¢300
  • Member of Parliament: GH¢700
  • Presidential Candidate: GH¢1000

Accompanying his pricing, he sang:
“This year, my votes are for sale ooh, for sale ooh, for sale. When they come, they don’t help us, so this year, my vote is for sale. Assemblyman, GH¢300; MPs, GH¢700; Presidential, GH¢1000. This my thumb, I am selling it because when they come, they don’t help us.”

The man’s bold declaration has sparked outrage and debate on social media, with some condemning the act as unethical while others view it as a form of protest against politicians’ lack of accountability.

With elections just around the corner, this controversial video has raised serious questions about voter trust and the state of Ghana’s democracy. How will authorities respond to this alarming declaration, and what does it mean for the integrity of the upcoming polls?
