The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has provisionally obtained 185 parliamentary seats nationwide, as stated by its National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi.
He revealed this update at a press conference on Sunday, 8 December, as part of the party’s report on the 2024 general election outcomes.
Mr. Gyamfi clarified that the number stems from the party’s internal aggregation of results from polling stations across the country.
He mentioned that the NDC’s representatives had been thorough in gathering information, suggesting a clear victory for the party in the parliamentary elections.
“Our internal collation shows that the NDC has tentatively won 185 parliamentary seats. This reflects the overwhelming confidence that Ghanaians have placed in us to represent them in Parliament,” he declared.
He also noted that the outcome shows a definitive majority for the NDC in Parliament, providing the party with a robust mandate to advance its legislative plans.
Mr. Gyamfi urged supporters to stay alert while the party anticipates the Electoral Commission’s formal announcement of the final results.
