Elijah Satekla, sibling of famous Ghanaian artist Stonebwoy, has joined Ghana Premier League team Legon Cities.
The offensive midfielder has signed a two-year deal prior to the second stage of the tournament.
Satekla, who has just chosen to embark on a professional football career, was spotted with his renowned brother at a prestigious football event showcasing Arsenal icon Emmanuel Adebayor.
The 21-year-old is anticipated to assist Legon Cities in their fight to remain in the top tier following a tough first round. Although the club hasn’t confirmed Satekla’s signing officially, they playfully engaged fans on social media with a Stonebwoy song, suggesting the new addition.
Satekla becomes the fourth addition to Legon Cities in the January transfer window, after the acquisition of ex-Kotoko winger Emmanuel Gyamfi.
Legon Cities, located at the University of Ghana, experienced a challenging first half of the season. They ended up in 17th position with only 14 points after 17 games.
As the Royal Blues aim to improve their situation in the league’s second round and steer clear of relegation, Yaw Acheampong is counting on Satekla to deliver the creative energy in attack.
