Fan Milk PLC has apologized to drivers and the public after a truck accident involving one of its third-party logistics partners, Adwenpa Transport Services Limited.
The event took place on the Achimota-Tesano overpass on Saturday evening, January 25, 2025, leading to substantial traffic delays in the vicinity.
Witnesses stated that the car drove onto the sidewalk and crashed through the bridge’s railing. The truck subsequently plunged onto the road beneath, leading to a blockage on the Achimota-Tesano stretch.
Drivers and other vehicle operators were subsequently compelled to take different paths during their travels.
In a statement, Fan Milk conveyed their apologies for the disturbance caused, explaining that the truck was empty of products when the accident occurred.
Thankfully, no injuries, deaths, or harm to other vehicles was reported.
The firm guaranteed the public that its logistics partner is collaborating with officials to examine the incident’s cause and ensure the truck is quickly cleared to reinstate normal traffic flow.
“Adwenpa is collaborating with the authorities to review this unfortunate incident. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused road users, the community, and motorists using this route,” Fan Milk stated.
