The Member of Parliament for the Effutu Constituency in Ghana’s Central Region, Honorable Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has disclosed that he is a successful entrepreneur managing multiple multi-million dollar enterprises.

Markin, the leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s minority group and senior member of the Parliamentary Appointment Committee, disclosed that he is quite affluent and prosperous because of the many enterprises he owns, which he began managing at an early age.

He disclosed this information during an appearance on Joy News while conversing with Emefa Apawu to address the allegation that he acquired state lands, which Hon Okudzeto Ablakwa accused him of.

Markin, who mentioned purchasing those lands more than 25 years ago when he was young, informed Emefa that he began operating his own businesses at a very young age and has obtained over $15 million in loans, demonstrating the significant success and profitability of his enterprises.

Emefa asked Minority Leader Afenyo Markin how he got the land at the age of 25 and he spoke for 2 minutes with no answer.
