DJ Mensah, a member of the Akwaaba UK group, announced that the group will not allow dancehall artist Stonebwoy to hold his upcoming album tour in the UK on March 8th.
During a discussion on Hitz FM on February 20, 2025, DJ Mensah highlighted that the Akwaaba group does not plan to undermine Stonebwoy’s concert.
Nevertheless, they are unwilling to alter the date of their event.
He emphasized that Akwaaba UK has been hosting a concert each Independence Day and, therefore, will not change the planned date for their event.
“I am speaking for Akwaaba, and even as DJ Mensah, who works with Akwaaba, I just want to make things clear that we are not here to sabotage anybody. The event is going to happen, and we are not stepping down for anybody,” he said.
His comments come in response to a recent allegation by Stonebwoy’s manager, Chief Stylz, that the Akwaaba UK team and Alordia are planning to “sabotage” the musician’s album tour in the UK.
