The overall expense for acquiring furniture and furnishings for the new Bank of Ghana (BoG) headquarters will reach an astonishing $11.1 million.
This number was revealed by the Governor of the Central Bank, Dr. Johnson Asiama, during a briefing to Parliament about the project on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
In his speech, Governor Johnson Asiama shared information about the project’s total financial situation.
He disclosed that by February 2025, around $230 million had been disbursed for the project, leaving an unresolved balance of $31.8 million still owed to the contractor.
Furthermore, a sum of $48.3 million has been disbursed in taxes and fees associated with the construction.
